Paid Themes are better in Shopify? - Dropshipping - oberlo | onlinebullseye.blogspot.com

Paid Themes are better in Shopify are you sure?

This blog is going to talk about whether a paid theme is better than a free theme in Shopify. I have seen this questions in many social forums. So I thought of discussing this today and help all the friends who have this question lurking in their mind. So lets burst some myth.

In order to get an upper hand in this slit throat competition in e-commerce business its really important for you to have an online store that stands apart from your competition. Now the question is stands apart in what sense. As per my experience in e-commerce business I have put down few points.
1. Store must have maximum three color theme. These colors will denote your brand from ICON to your website to your package delivered to clients.
2. A Logo which is professional as well as have the capability to represent your brand and Niche.
3. Your website must have slideshow images which could be either your product images or you can get images from free websites like https://pixabay.comhttps://pxhere.comhttps://unsplash.com,  https://canva.com.
4. All the legal pages perfectly written and added in footer or main menu.
5. Add to cart in collection pages.
6. Security badges create trust.
7. Delivery estimated date create trust.
8. Timer to create urgency.
9.Sales badge with sale percentage.
10. Video in the description.
11. Pop up discount.
12. Brand Promise
13. Product Review

No matter what theme you use whether it is paid or free the first 4 points can be added and these themes have the feature to add them. However, the next 7 you wont see by default in free themes. So paid themes are better!!! no no wait we have some tweaks by which we can add them in the free themes using simple coding and have the below features in your Free theme.

1. Add to cart in collection pages
2. Security badges create trust.
3. Delivery estimated date create trust.
4. Timer to create urgency.
5.Sales badge with sale percentage.
6. Video in the description.
7. Pop up discount.
8. Brand Promise

Irrespective of a paid or free theme the aesthetic value of it completely depends upon the images and color theme  used by the creator and his artistic skills. That is the reason there are stores which are created on Debut theme I will Jolt down some free theme Shopify store that are making big. Also, there are many paid theme Shopify stores that are on the verge of closing down the business. So, I would advise that use codes in your websites that are actually easy to place in the theme code editor of Shopify and make your theme look premium. That is what most free  theme users do and make big bucks with less investments. There are definitely free apps in Shopify but I suggest you not to use them as they slow down your website a little. Use codes yes most of us might not be comfortable and wont even have dared to try it but you know things are hard till they are unexplored. If still thing editing codes is tough then you can take an help from an expert.

If you venture in to fixing the codes and getting this features you will be able to save on paid theme cost of minimum $150 and paid apps cost of $50. If you take the patience of doing these all by your own you can also save $500.00 that you might end up paying to Shopify expert. Also, use apps to the  minimum like I will suggest to use.

Oberlo -                               If you drop-ship then best app to import products and manage products.
Judge Me review -               For adding review free and look legitimate.
Discount/ Email Popups-     Aiyva overlays

My Verdict is a paid theme is not needed to grab success

I conclude that no doubt that paid theme will give rich look to your store and are equipped with some inbuilt features but if you have a strict budget or if you want a budget friendly store don't necessarily go for a paid theme take some time invest some patience and boom create an impressive, awesome store with all the premium features.

Successful stores using free themes like Debut, supply, Minimal example
